Production Build Info

• Dealer order form
• Central order receiving --> routed to the most logical plant
• Order goes into the traffic department at the plant and the order is keyed (IBM keypunch operator) into the system and the card is produced.
• Card is placed into a reader and the vehicle traveler sheet, VIN, Fender tag are produced.
• Once this number is in the system the production sheets (Body in white, vehicle traveler, electrical build sheet, broadcast sheet etc). There were a number of stations throughout the plant that produced these sheets. They were not all at one central spot.
