Restoration and Judging Guidelines Reference Manuals

The Restoration and Judging Guidelines Reference Manual is being developed for use by Mopar collectors, enthusiasts and event judges. The objective of this manual and associated program is to eliminate the variation and subjectivity in scoring and judging between independent events. The reference manual information will be neatly packaged in a three ring binder. This binder will provide the ability to add and upgrade information as it becomes available. The purpose of this reference manual is as follows:

  • To provide an objective reference in the understanding of the Finer Points of a Mopar. It will provide detailed information in a format that is as clear as possible to assist the beginner to the seasoned expert in the quest to accurately restore or upgrade a vehicle to the condition that it was delivered from the final assembly plant.
  • To aid in establishing and maintaining consistency in judging and to serve as the basic foundation for the future in the education and how to consistently and fairly evaluate Mopar vehicles.
The following reference manuals are currently being finalized:

  • Vol # 2 - Ver # 1 - 1968 - 70 Charger/Coronet, R/T & Super Bee- 3rd Q 09
  • Vol # 3 - Ver # 1 - 1968 - 70 Road Runner and GTX - 3rd Q 08
  • Vol # 4 - Ver # 1 - 1968 - 70 A bodies - 1st Q 09
  • Vol # 5 - Ver # 1 - 1971 - 72 Road Runner and GTX - 2009
  • Vol # 6 - Ver # 1 - 1971 - 72 Charger - 2009

Each manual has been compiled into individual sections. The following is a brief overview of the contents of each section.

It is important to understand that this World Class Reference Manual is not the final word in Restoration or Judging. It is just the beginning of the assembly of objective information. This information will be used to assist in the restoration and impartially evaluate the historical correctness, workmanship, authenticity, and condition of a Mopar!
